Sofia is currently reading her second round of the Story of the World book 2.

In addition to many historical sites visited around the country.

Sofia Science 15/16

This year we are using Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding.  We cover one lesson per week.

In addition our year has been full of science museums around  the country (ASTC membership), National Parks, Junior Ranger badges and I'm sure many more scientific explorations that I haven't thought of mentioning.

Luna Reading 15/16

Luna is a voracious reader and I would say averages at least an hour/day.  I have not kept a reading log, but do know that she has most recently read the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan several times through.  She is currently reading Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard by Rick Riordan.

Sofia started her second time around on The Story of the World series....Ancient Times.

Sofia Math 14/15

Sofia completed Saxon Math 5/6 in May of 2015.

Luna Science 14/15

We used an Earth Science book to guide us in our discussion of the earth, weather, geology, volcanic activity, fuel sources and many other Earth Science discussions.  The discussions carry over into our every day life and come up continuously.

In addition Luna completed many National Park Junior Ranger badges in 14/15, has attended numerous park ranger programs, tons of science museums throughout the country, and many other activities as we have traveled.

Luna finished the 2nd book of The Story of the World Series.

Luna Reading 14/15

Luna is a big reader.  She reads each weeknight before bed for 30 minutes - 1 hour.  When she has a book she is really into she reads it every second she gets.
Since we are traveling and are limited on how much weight we can carry both of our girls received Nooks for Christmas and have unlimited access to our New Jersey library's e-books.  We have also accumulated two more libraries along our journey that have allowed us to use their e-book catalog. We do frequent Barnes and Noble trips to stock up on new book ideas to look for on the
library's e-book collections.
